Unmissable experiences
The video mapping at San Gervasio Church is one of Valladolid's newest and most exciting attractions. This light and sound show takes place from Tuesday to Sunday, starting at 10 PM, with each projection lasting approximately 20 minutes. The show is titled "Valladolid in History."
The presentations are available in both Spanish and English, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the experience. The show narrates the history of the Yucatán Peninsula, from prehistoric times and the meteor impact that wiped out the dinosaurs to the cosmology of the great Maya civilization and the pre-Hispanic city of Ek Balam. Each projection is a journey through time and space.
Embark on an awe-inspiring light and sound show that will take you on an exciting journey through the most significant chapters of Valladolid's history. From the splendor of the ancient Maya culture to the creation of the vibrant modern city, every moment comes to life before your eyes. The presentations are available in both Spanish and English.
In just 20 minutes, you'll uncover the fascinating history of the Maya town of Zací, known as the "White Hawk," celebrated for the bravery of its warriors. Relive the 1543 conquest led by Francisco de Montejo, the Maya resistance during the Caste War in 1847, and the profound spiritual transformation brought by Franciscan evangelization.
